Jumpstart Kickstart Session – Property Asset Management

Are you interested in real estate development? Are you already in the industry and need additional training? During this virtual event, you will receive vital instruction on best practices in asset management. 

Participants will be able to: 

  • Understand the nuts and bolts of asset management and successful property management.
  • Create an asset management plan for their organization reflecting their organization’s current asset portfolio, future assets, and culture.

Speakers:

Jill Meals-Herron | CEO | Herron Property Management

Jill currently serves as CEO of Herron Property Management. She received her Associate’s Degree in Business at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and holds the accreditation of Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS), Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) from the National Apartment Manager CAM from the National Apartment Association, and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP) from the National Association of Home Builders. Jill has been a leader in the multifamily industry for over 30 years and has experience in many federal programs, including LIHTC, Section 8, Section 42 Tax Credit and HOME Bonds. Jills ability to focus and achieve owners’ expectations, as well as her knowledge n rehabs, lease-ups, compliance requirements, marketing strategies, and her ability to connect ot residents and staff alike maker her a top leader in the industry.

Katie Vondra | Construction Asset Manager | Cinnaire

Katie is a Construction Asset Manager in Cinnaire’s Lansing office. She oversees risk management for a comprehensive portfolio of LIHTC, NMTC and AHP investments. Katie brings over 20 years of experience to Cinnaire, including 13 years of affordable housing asset management experience. She loves to dig deep to solve complicated issues on projects. Katie lives by Cinnaire Why and takes great satisfaction in working with our partners to create and maintain safe, affordable housing communities throughout our geography.

Katie began her career in property management while attending Michigan State University. She has experience in all aspects of the property management industry, including leasing, development, financing, construction and ownership. Katie specializes in troubled assets, department leadership, and industry training. She is actively engaged in support Cinnaire’s companywide initiatives.

Katie serves on the board of Grange Aces, an affordable senior living community in Haslett, MI. She earned her B.S. from Michigan State University and holds a Real Estate Brokers license.
