Empowered Business Solutions

Empowered Business Solutions

Tool Up is a Money Smart Series for small business owners and entrepreneurs. The workshop series aids divers business with start-up support, business projection, start-up support, business projection, collaborations, financial maintenance, scalability and being bankable. This series has impacted more than 75 small businesses owners. In 2019, nine businesses were prepared to apply for a bank loan after graduating from the program.

Homeowner Repair

Homeowner Repair

MBCDC partners with the City of Indianapolis, local financial institutions and community organizations to coordinate homeowner repairs for all residents – including roof repairs, replacing flooring, installing new counters and making homes accessible and safe. This is a first-come, first-serve program based on household income. Please feel free to contact us for further program requirements and details.

Microlending

Small business loans up to $10,000. Our goal is to provide small business owners with the tools and resources they need to grow their business. We’re proud to work with the first financial bank to provide loans to small, minority, and at-risk businesses within the city of Indianapolis area. This lending initiative was created to support economic growth and development within the city of indianapolis.

MBCDC’s Rural Street Comprehensive Development Project is a part of the Martindale Brightwood Education Zone (MBEZ) and Housing Village priority. To ensure the increase and preservation of affordable housing in the area, our plans include building new affordable housing units on vacant lots, expanding an existing community garden to include a learning pocket park, and providing significant repairs and upgrades to the current housing stock on the block.
