Rural Street Community Garden – Adopt-a-Plot Informational Session
Interested in growing your own food and being part of a shared community space? Join us for an informational session about the Adopt-a-Plot Program at Rural Street Community Garden.
The Adopt-a-Plot Program invites residents, neighbors, and workers in the Martindale-Brightwood community to participate in seasonal land stewardship by maintaining a personal garden plot while contributing to the overall care of the garden.
This program is open to all experience levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced gardener. Participants will learn through hands-on growing, peer support, and shared knowledge throughout the season.
What Participants Receive

A 4×8 garden plot for the growing season

Seasonal guidance and peer support

Access to shared garden spaces and U-Pick areas
Participant Responsibilities
Participants help maintain their plot throughout the growing season while contributing to the care of shared garden areas. The program promotes a culture of respect, responsibility, and community stewardship.
