Enjoy music, neighborhood trivia, and a trip down memory lane with friends and family supporting development & sustainability for Martindale Brightwood.

Black Friday Give Back is the Martindale Brightwood Neighborhood Virtual Reunion – a fundraising event for the community to celebrate each other and make donations to support affordable housing initiatives in the Martindale Brightwood area.

Overview: The Martindale Brightwood Community Development Corporation invites current and previous residents, friends, and families of the neighborhood to celebrate the legacy of our community on Black Friday. The Martindale Brightwood area is 95% African American, retired, and working-class with abundant culture.  Whether you lived, worked, played, or prayed in the Martindale Brightwood community – we invite you all to join us, kick back and enjoy music, neighborhood trivia, and a trip down memory lane with friends, family, a sizzling fresh DJ, and Emcees.  Plus hear about the latest plans for the neighborhood and how you can be a part. Our goal is to raise $20,000 in donations to support the N. Rural Street Housing Development Project.  Be a part of the real Black Friday Give Back by connecting with us via Zoom the day after Thanksgiving. There is no cost to register.  You will have the opportunity to make donations during this distinctive and purposeful Zoom event.  See details of Martindale Brightwood CDC’s comprehensive plans for N.
